Are You a Good CoolSculpting Candidate?

CoolSculpting, the world’s best solution for eliminating fat cells, not just shrinking them, is a great option for a lot of people. Because it is non-surgical and completely non-invasive, it is a great option for many people that aren’t candidates for surgeries like liposuction.

It isn’t for everyone, however. You should always talk to your doctor about your options, and schedule a consultation with us today. We’ve got all the facts and we’re here to help.

Here are some facts to help you decide if you are a good candidate for CoolSculpting.

Yes. Let’s Talk.

  • If you are generally fit and healthy but have stubborn exercise and diet-resistant pockets of fat that you want to get rid of, you are likely a very good CoolSculpting candidate.
  • You are probably a good candidate if your pockets of fat are isolated to specific areas of your body such as your stomach, thighs, chin, hips or arms.
  • If your skin tone and elasticity is generally good, you’ll likely have good results.
  • Reasonable expectations are a must for anyone considering CoolSculpting. Many people see results within a month or two. But it is more likely that it will take three-to-six months for you to realize the full benefits of your treatment.
  • Lastly, a commitment to maintaining your current level of health and fitness is required.

No. Never.

  • As with most elective procedures, you should not receive CoolSculpting if you are pregnant, may become pregnant or are breastfeeding.
  • If you are unable to maintain a regular routine of physical activity due to an illness or injury you are not a good candidate.
  • Anyone with nonspecific, chronic pain should not receive CoolSculpting.
  • Lymphedema sufferers, or anyone with other lymphatic system illnesses should not undergo the procedure.
  • An injury or illness causing impaired peripheral circulation to the treatment area is a contraindication for CoolSculpting
  • Anyone that needs to lose a considerable amount of weight, has no plans to eat healthier or exercise, and is considering CoolSculpting as a weight-loss method, is not a good candidate.
  • If you have any active implanted devices such as a pacemaker, you should not undergo CoolSculpting.

Maybe. But Not Now.

  • If you are more than 20 pounds overweight, you may need to lose some weight before your CoolSculpting treatment in order to see optimal results.

  • Any recent surgery may require you to wait until you are fully healed. Surgery or scar tissue in the treatment area may cause longer delays or require you to seek other options.

  • If you have an open or infected wound of any kind, wait until you are healed and then check with your physician before scheduling a CoolSculpting consultation.

  • Poor overall fitness makes you a less than ideal candidate. Are you living a sedentary lifestyle? Is your diet unhealthy? Start exercising and eating healthier. Then, let’s talk.

If after reading this article, you feel that you are a good CoolSculpting candidate, come in for a consultation. Still not sure if you are a good candidate? Consultations are free and we’re happy to meet with you. Just give us a call.
