Areas That You Can Target With CoolSculpting

Are you a person who is no more than 30 pounds overweight, but you have certain areas where you just can’t seem to get your fat to go away, no matter how much you diet and exercise? If so, CoolSculpting can be a great option for you. The CoolSculpt machine applies a very controlled amount of cold temperatures to the region you’re targeting. Fat cells that lie just underneath your skin are more vulnerable to cold than the skin itself, meaning that with the right controlled conditions, your CoolSculpting procedure will cause the fat cells to die without damaging the skin above them. It’s an FDA-cleared procedure that’s completely non-surgical, with minimal downtime. Please note that CoolSculpting is NOT a treatment for obesity, nor is it a substitute for diet and exercise if you are more than 30 pounds overweight. Instead, it is a way to eliminate unwanted fat in specific areas by eliminating the fat cell itself. However, not every part of the body is a good area to target with CoolSculpting. The best areas to target are the ones where you have “pinchable” fat that’s just under the skin. With repeated treatments over a period of three to four months, you’ll see noticeable results that will be permanent. Those fat cells, once gone, will be gone for good. So which parts of your body are the best options for you to treat with the CoolSculpt procedure?

1. Belly fat

Whether you’re a man or a woman, you can end up with a layer of belly fat that’s incredibly difficult to get rid of, no matter how many crunches and ab exercises you do. If you’ve tried diet and exercise, only to end up with a strong, toned underlying layer of muscle that’s still topped with stubborn fat around your navel, CoolSculpting may be able to help. Don’t put up with unwanted fat hanging over your belt or protruding above your waistband. Ask our Loveland plastic surgery center if you would be a good candidate for CoolSculpting to reduce your tummy fat.

2. Flanks

The flanks are the areas to the left and right of your belly button, just above your hips, where you can often get a roll of extra fat. People often informally label these areas the love handles in the front and the muffin top in the back. If you are unhappy with the amount of extra thickness in that area, it’s another prime target for a few CoolSculpt treatments. The beauty of CoolSculpting is that during the treatment, you’ll be able to read, work from your phone or tablet, or even take a nap. After the treatment, you’ll be able to resume normal activities immediately. This is much less intrusive than liposuction, which is a surgical procedure that requires you to miss 1-3 days of work afterward.

3. Inner arms

If the underside of your upper arms have begun to bulge a little bit too much for your taste, CoolSculpting can be a great way to reduce the fat in that area. Please note that this is completely different from a brachioplasty (arm lift), which is a surgical procedure that removes loose skin on the “batwing” area. CoolSculpting not only helps to reduce those underarm bulges, it can also result in your skin naturally tightening itself up a bit in that area.

4. Bra roll and anterior axillary fold

If you are experiencing areas of fat just above or below your bra strap in the back or just under your underarm area in the front, this can create bulges under your clothing that reduce the smoothness of your appearance. CoolSculpting can sculpt these areas and make you able to fit into your favorite outfits again without being self-conscious. While the procedure probably won’t reduce your overall weight, it will shape where your body is storing that weight, making it possible for the important parts of you to look more toned, slender, and smoothly contoured.

5. Inner and outer thigh

The thighs are a problem spot for many people, and CoolSculpting can treat both the inner thigh and the outer thigh area for great results.
