CoolSculpting

How to Prepare for CoolSculpting®

A question we often get from our new CoolSculpting clients concerns preparation. Is there anything they should do to be ready?

The answer is no. Because CoolSculpting is such a noninvasive procedure, it has none of the complicated preparations required for invasive procedures like liposuction. The only small preparation you could make is to avoid blood-thinning supplements like aspirin, Ibuprophen, vitamin E, and fish oil. Doing so will minimize bruising. Additionally, being sunburned can cause discomfort. If you are one of our clients, we have already determined that you are qualified for treatment. Beyond that, we just need you to be on time for your appointments.

You are an ideal candidate if you are at or close to your idea weight with small bulges of pinchable fat. You also should have a healthy diet and exercise routine. Around 30% of the fat sucked into  the tool will dissolve over two months following your procedure. The only discomfort you should experience is the intense cooling sensation before the area goes numb. If you experience more, make sure you let us know. We understand that everyone is different, and we will meet your unique needs!

Treatment for one location takes about an hour, so depending on how many areas you want to target, your treatment will take a unique amount of time. You will be able to go back to work or resume your normal activity right after.

The benefits of CoolSculpting are huge. At Front Range Plastic Surgery, our Board-Certified plastic surgeon, Dr. Schutte, is ready to help you feel more confidence in your appearance. Call today!
